Hey! I'm Karley Alleyn of Accessible Assessment,

I'm a teacher with 13 years experience in BC's public education system. Throughout my career I've worked in K-12 classrooms & school-based dance studios; I've also written & instructed courses for pre-service teachers & practicing teachers.

In 2023, after publishing my M. Ed thesis on equitable assessment practice, I chose to focus my educational career on coaching educators to shift their assessment practices by exploring their assessment identity. These days I support teachers & schools through the process of making sustainable shifts to their assessment practices so that assessment becomes the tool for equity in education.

The process of designing assessment tools through the lens of my core values makes so much sense to me. Now I realize how transformative assessment identity is. This is going to change my whole practice!

Authentic mentorship groups like the Assessment Accelerator cohorts are super successful. They are an investment of time and energy, but they end up moving faster and going deeper because of how they are designed.

This program [Assessment Accelerator] is the missing piece to my teacher training. Everything I have learned is applicable to my classroom.
